We partnered with the Crafts Council to design and deliver a closing event for Collect, their leading contemporary craft fair - a private reception intended to hold space for reflection, recognition, and quiet connection between partners, artists, and collectors.
Set within a private room at Somerset House, the event was conceived as a counterpoint to the public-facing fair: intimate, purposeful, and textural. Our production strategy revolved around tone and pace - how guests arrived, where they were placed, what they noticed when they stopped moving. Rather than a linear programme, we built the evening around spatial prompts: warm lighting zones, linen textures, printed menus with archival language, and ambient audio sourced from maker interviews. The emphasis was not on spectacle but on hosting presence - a moment between conclusion and continuation. Touche handled all aspects of the event, from layout planning to narrative sequencing and vendor management. The result was a closing chapter that felt ceremonial without being staged - a gesture of care and clarity, aligned with the spirit of the fair.
